Volunteer Questions

Why would I want to volunteer?
Volunteers get to shop the pre-sale event first, and you can attend the 1/2 price pre-sale. The more you volunteer, the earlier you get to shop, so you will get first pick at all of the top quality, name brand items that will be for sale. If you are a consignor you can also earn higher commissions! Volunteer for 2 shifts you can earn 75% commission and if you work 3 shifts you can earn 80% commmission.

Can anyone sign up as a volunteer and attend the pre-sales?
Yes, anyone may sign up to volunteer on a first come/first serve basis. You do not have to be a consignor to volunteer. We welcome husbands and grandparents, too! As a consignor, you can have a friend or family members volunteer shift count toward your higher commssions and earlier shopping time. So ask your Dad, brother or husband to help with set-up or tear-down to earn more in your check and an earlier shopping pass!

Do you offer childcare?
We are NOT able to provide childcare for volunteers. For liability reasons, children under the age of 12 may NOT accompany you during your shift. Children 12 and older who would enjoy volunteering with you may attend, however they do not count towards volunteer hours to earn higer commissions or earlier shopping times.

Can I bring a guest to the volunteer pre-sale?
Each Volunteer Pass admits only ONE person. If you volunteer for ONE shift you are the only one who can shop at the 1 shift volunteer pre-sale. If you volunteer for 2 shifts, you can either get TWO (1 shift volunteer passes) and bring a friend to the later pre-sale, or ONE (2 shift volunteer pass) and shop by yourself, at the earlier time. If you volunteer for 4 shifts, you can shop by yourself at the 4 shift volunteer time or you could get TWO (2 shift volunteer passes) and shop with a friend at the later time. Volunteers are welcome to give their pre-sale pass to a friend if they do not want to use it for themselves.

How long are the shifts?
Each shift is 4 hours. We will have snacks and water available for Volunteers. If you are a nursing mother we have a few shifts that could be done with a small infant in a carrier. Check out the available shifts HERE.
